Two things work against glass here that don't in most of the country: fine, wind-blown dust and mineral-heavy municipal and well water. Dust alone wipes off. Left to sit through a monsoon and dry under full sun, though, it bonds with mineral deposits into a haze that a standard wipe-down won't touch — and if it's allowed to bake on long enough, it can etch the glass permanently.
That's the real case for a quarterly plan in this climate: it's not about frequency for its own sake, it's about staying ahead of the point where deposits stop being removable and start being permanent.
